I am in the beginning stages of creating a community action site on Facebook to promote and inform people and businesses in our region how to more effectively recycle materials, especially involving small businesses such as cafes and coffee shops, among others.
The most current action relates to the New Hampshire primary. Once the votes have been counted and the winners declared, there will be those who lost. There are hundreds of political signs to pick up and dispose of. Instead of the trash bins, many of the signs can be recycled. The plastic sleeves can be recycled with plastic grocery bags and other soft plastics at places like Shaw's and Walmart. Cardboard or paperboard signs can be recycled along with other paper and cardboard. Corrugated plastic signs cannot be recycled. The metal stands in many cases can be reused for multiple things.
